Site Diary 6

Just watching TV and the sadness in Libya, I hope that freedom is achieved by all the people fighting for it, not only in the middle east but everywhere. And let's hope we don't hear journalists ask if democracy is worth fighting for, I heard one ask some Russians in the late eighties, you would think that journalists would have more understanding of freedom. But then again they get paid to go to these places and go home to a completely different lifestyle. It's amazing what one takes for granted, totally oblivious to what is happening miles away. My knowledge of the middle east is very little but surely, as humans we should care more for our distant neighbors than the price of petrol etc. I wish those that are risking their lives for what they believe in, the best of luck and people are thinking of you many  many miles away.

Site Diary 5

Hi. Back again, just getting ready to put up some tutes using Burster, it's pretty interesting. The idea is to use the game as a tutorial on building a game from scratch specifically for  playing in a browser but at the moment , still experimenting with size and speed. Once I have a few that are suitable, links will be placed here. The main aim is to create Flash style tutorials but with the fun attached that Blender can achieve. If anyone has experience setting up Burster feel free contact me or leave a comment. Although a lot of examples have been very basic the opportunity to use a 3D program and play it in your browser is exciting. Be back soon.

Site Diary 4

Haven't done much to my site the last couple of days. As I love Open Source Software and am setting up free tutorials, I would like to offer links to some sites that I find helpful. Blender tutorial sites that might help the uninitiated and found a 3D web browser plug-in for those that have dreams of online 3d gaming with Blender. It looks like early days and there may be a long way to go but any start is good.  The site has a lot of information about not only the plugin but also examples that you can try out once you have installed Burster.
Below is a list of sites that might help people learning Blender. Please click more for a list of links I have chosen.

Site Diary 3

A bit slow the last few days. But trying to find a better way than the one normally used to create angles in Inkscape. Well couldn't find one on forums, only choice is to  use my own until something comes up. The choice that is normally used is to draw a line and set a transform, but then you have to place the line where you want it after. So I created an angle wheel (protractor) in 5 degree increments. I put it up on www.blendamites.com/l .
